Santiago.- The CEO of the National PoliceMajor General Eduardo Alberto Then, lamented today the death of a minor as a result of a shot allegedly at the hands of a police agent, in the middle of the carnival celebration of this city, which occurred on Sunday afternoon in the vicinity of the Mella street corner Las Carreras avenue.
Preliminary investigations establish that the event occurred after a discussion at a time when the corporal of the institution of order identified as Alejandro Castro Cruz, 30 years olddrew the attention of the victim’s relatives for playing loud music.
“We are here standing up for Santiago. We really regret this fact, joining the pain that overwhelms the family, but also condemning a bad police performance, ”he said.

Prosecutor visit and victim’s family

“We want justice to be done. I have seen that on social networks they say that I had a weapon, but that is not true. The only weapons were held by members of the Police,” said the father of the child killed in the incident.
