Santo Domingo, DR. – Police agents assigned to the Southeast Regional Directorate, through operations carried out by the Preventive Police, detained a total of 25 motorcycles during an extensive security operation carried out this week in San Pedro de Macorís.
The vehicles were seized after being identified in flagrante delicto while participating in clandestine races and carrying out “calibrate”, practices that alter public order and put public safety at risk.
Of the total retained, 14 correspond to pasolas and 11 to motorcycles. All vehicles will be sent to the Vehicle Retention Department of the National Police Dog Track, in Santo Domingo, for the pertinent legal procedures.

The authorities also reported that none of the motorcycles had documentation and several had modifications to the exhaust system, generating high levels of noise pollution.
The National Police reiterated its commitment to continue developing preventive actions with the aim of guaranteeing road safety and maintaining public order throughout the national territory.
