Police contingent takes the road to Warnes, after clashes at a blockade point

A strong police contingent reached the road to Warnes, precisely at the entrance of Satélite Norte, to disperse two groups of people who clashed at a blockade point on Tuesday night.

According to the story of the neighbors who blocked the place, they were attacked with sticks, stones and rockets by several people, among them motorcycle taxi drivers in the area, who tried to clear the route that connects Santa Cruz de la Sierra with the municipality of Warnes.

The confrontation lasted little more than half an hour, but tempers calmed when the riot police arrived which dispersed both sides. Police patrols will stay in place tonight to avoid further clashes.
