Santo Domingo.— The Association of Official Wives of the National Police (Aseopna) carried out this Sunday the traditional delivery of toys to the children of police officers as part of the Day of the Holy Kings which will be commemorated next Tuesday, in an atmosphere full of joy and enthusiasm, on the front esplanade of the National Police Palace.
From the early hours, dozens of children came with their families to receive toys as part of a day designed to bring happiness and recognition to police homes.
The activity was headed by the director general of the National Police, Major General Ramon Antonio Guzman Peraltaand his wife, Mrs. Ingrid Castro de Guzmánpresident of Aseopna.

The event began with a blessing by the institution’s chaplain, Father Catalino Tejada, who offered prayers for the police families and highlighted the value of unity, faith and hope. Next, Castro de Guzmán highlighted that the delivery of toys represents a gesture of affection and encouragement towards children, in recognition of the daily sacrifice of their fathers and mothers in the service of citizen security.
During the day, the little ones enjoyed a festive environment that accompanied the distribution of toys, with music, entertainment and recreational activities, creating a space for healthy fun that caused smiles and memorable moments for the families present.
The celebration reaffirmed Aseopna’s commitment to the well-being and integration of police families, keeping alive a tradition that strengthens human ties within the institution and recognizes the value of the family environment of those who have the mission of protecting and serving Dominican society.
