The National Police captured 18-year-old Jerry Enrique Espino Díaz for allegedly being linked to the murder of 18-year-old John Brandon Vásquez Campos. The event was recorded in the municipality of La Dalia, Matagalpa.
The victim was a fifth-year high school student and died from a stab wound to the chest. According to information from local media, the event occurred in the morning hours of Friday, February 16, on a municipal street when Vásquez Campos was returning from the school where he was in the fifth year and was going to his house along with other classmates. .

The crime was recorded on surveillance cameras of a business in the area, in which the attacker can be observed approaching the victim and stabbing him in the chest and then fleeing the scene. Vásquez Campos walked a few meters wounded and was later taken to the medical center where he died the same day.
The student, after being wounded, managed to walk forward where his astonished friends were and vanished, dying later as a result of the fatal stab wound.
According to local sources, the conflicts originated from last year when Espino harassed Vázquez and constantly challenged him to beat him.
The suspect was captured the day after committing the crime in the Casa Blanca neighborhood of El Tuma, where agents confiscated the murder weapon. He then was transferred to Matagalpa where investigations will begin to determine the process of the young man.
On YouTube there are several videos of the young man posted since 2020, but for four months he has shared the scene with other exponents of the urban genre within the country. Brandon was buried in La Dalia.
