The Civil Police of Rio de Janeiro arrested four people today (21) for the crime of forgery of a seal or public sign. They worked, directly and indirectly, in a notary’s office that operated irregularly, in Pedra de Guaratiba, west of the capital, interdicted by agents of the Defraudation Police Station.
The notary Carioca FSP – Serviços Cartoiais reported on the sign that it provided solutions and facilities. It worked in the center of Pedra de Guaratiba, on Estrada da Matriz, with a large sign, inducing people to make mistakes. The fake notary had been installed for almost a year at the site.
During monitoring, the team approached a man who left the fake registry office with a document that had an authentication seal, with the logos of a notary’s office.
After searching, the police found authentic authentication seals already signed by clerks of the 33rd Notary Public Office, in the Campo Grande neighborhood, also in the west zone, in addition to authenticated documents. The initial news was that the stamps would be fake, but it was verified that they were real, thus proving that the registry office was diverted to illegal activity.
Two of the prisoners were responsible for the fake notary’s office and the other two were clerks of the notary’s office, who diverted the stamps.
After the action of the police, the authors were taken to the specialized headquarters, where the arrest records were formalized in the act.
“During the diligence, we discovered that two clerks of a note from a real notary had participated in connivance, who were partnering with the illegal notary and provided the already signed authentication seals so that they did not even have to go to the notary’s office. These people who did not have any kind of sworn faith, training and qualification for this, had authentication seals and authenticated documents from people in good faith”, said delegate Alan Luxardo, responsible for the investigation,
