Police agents, attached to the Counterfeit Investigation Department, arrested three men who were caught in flagrante delicto with a total of 197 vehicle tagsall presumably fake.
According to a police press release, the detainees are Juan Heredia Peralta and Rafael Antonio Bautista Viloria. and Rafael Nunez Lopezwho were arrested during an operation carried out both in Enriquillo Park, on Duarte Avenue, and at kilometer 12 of the Sánchez highway, in the National District.
According to the police report, Bautista Viloria was seized 114 tags for vehicles with different numbers, presumably fake, ranging from number 0411710 to 0151768, repeating some tags the same numbering with a value of 1,500 pesos each, for a total of 171,000 pesosto the detriment of the General Directorate of Internal Taxes (DGII) and the Dominican State.
They also took care two bank cards and three cell phones of different brands and models.

While Bautista Viloria was seized 72 tags for vehicles, presumably fake, ranging from number 1631 to 1767, repeating some tags the same numbering with a value of 1,500 pesos each, for a total of 108,000 pesosto the detriment of the DGII and the Dominican State.
In the same way, two cell phones were seized. Besides, he had been arrested on November 15, 2022 in flagrante delicto with 199 false tags. When questioned, he said that “a man was the one who supplied” those adhesive labels for vehicle circulation tax payment control, and that this person would give him another 100 at kilometer 12 of the Sánchez highway.
Finally, Núñez López was arrested in the surroundings of Parque Enriquillo, where the acting agents occupied 11 tags false, with a value of 1,500 pesos, for a total of 16,500 pesos, also to the detriment of the DGII and the Dominican State. A cell phone was also seized.
The detainees were placed at the disposal of the Public Ministry, for the corresponding legal purposes.
