The Civil Police arrested today (29) a 20-year-old student suspected of planning attacks on schools in the Federal District. The arrest took place during the execution of a search and seizure warrant in the second phase of Operation Shield. 
During the search, police found a firearm, a knife, four cell phones, a baseball bat and a mask of the character Jason from the Friday the 13th film series. In addition, agents also found photos and videos. of child pornography on the investigated cell phone.
Upon being heard at the police station, the young man confessed to involvement with groups that defend Nazi and anti-democratic ideals.
According to the corporation, the suspicious activities were reported to the Ministry of Justice by the US security attaché in Brasília. Then, the folder passed the information to the Civil Police, which began the investigation of the case.
Deputy Dário Taciano de Freitas, responsible for the Special Police Station for Repression of Cyber Crimes (DRCC), considered the action as an example of international cooperation. “The operation neutralized a possible tragedy that could have dire consequences,” he said.
In May of last year, during the first phase of the operation, the Civil Police also arrested a man suspected of planning attacks in the Federal District.
