The Cibao Central Regional Directorate of the National Police reported this Tuesday about the arrest of a man who was being wanted for killing another during the New Year holidays in the Tamboril municipality, province Santiago.
The detainee was identified as Reny Yunior Reyes Candelario (Montana), who was wanted by agents of the Central Directorate of Criminal Investigations, for being the alleged murderer of Kedwin Rafael Guichardo Cruz, 31, as a result of gunshot wounds.
The police report establishes that the prisoner confessed to the investigators that he committed the act of blood motivated by old personal quarrels.
It adds that the victim was shot at by Reyes Candelario when he was drinking alcoholic beverages in front of a swimming pool. Guichardo Cruz died in a hospital in Santiagowhere he was referred from Tamboril.
At the time of his arrest, the alleged murderer was seized with the Glock brand pistol, caliber 9 mm, series N. BSCE548, without documents.
The detainee will be made available to justice in the next few hours for the purposes of the corresponding law.
