The Departmental Federation of Peasant Workers of La Paz “Túpac Katari”led by David Mamani, confirmed that Roads will be blocked from Monday of this region of the country and the Police assured that it will enforce the regulations in force in the country.

“We will comply with the Political Constitution of the State (CPE) and the Organic Law of the Police.Before any intervention, we will follow our manual of procedures in situations of public disorder,” said the departmental commander of the Police, Edgar Cortez.

He added that the right to protest is respected, but that also the right to free movement must be respected of people.

Therefore, according to its own version, the Bolivian Police will be present at all times and in the event of “any situation of disturbance of public order.”

“We have police deployed in all municipalities, We will be on alert, the Bolivian Police will respect the rights of the people and we are going to comply with what is issued (by the regulations),” he insisted.

The peasants, led by leader Mamani, decided to block roads in the department of La Paz since September 16, demanding the resignation of President Luis Arce, among other requests.
