Several police officers were attacked by citizens when they tried to control an incident that occurred in a folklore activity in the Chupampa township, in the Santa María district, Herrera province.
According to the National Police, three people were arrested in this case, which was evidenced through a video circulating on social networks.
The police clarified that they “repudiate any act of violence that threatens the life and integrity of people.”
Commissioner Irving Castillo, head of the Herrera police zone, said that the three citizens involved in the fight were apprehended and placed under the orders of the competent authorities for due process.
