The Police reported that in coordination with the Public Ministry investigate the death of a 25-year-old young man shot by agents of the institution last Saturday night in the Villa Consuelo sector, National District.
The victim was identified as Rancel Junior García, who died while receiving medical attention at a health center after suffering a gunshot wound.
He indicated that according to preliminary information, the event occurred when a mixed patrol (police and military) carried out preventive work aimed at deterring noise pollution, subsequently registering a conflictive situation.

The specific circumstances of the incident are currently in the survey, technical verification and forensic analysis phase.
The young man was arrested during the incident. Carlos Yadiel Matías Beltré19 years old, who was arrested Ruger brand pistol9mm caliber, with its charger, the which was duly seized and taken into custody for ballistic and legal investigation purposes.
The scene was processed by Scientific Police technicianswho carried out the corresponding survey and evidence collection, under the direct coordination of the Public Ministry.
Likewise, the National Police specifies that the acting agents are formally under investigation by the internal control bodies of the institutionin accordance with established protocols, in order to determine administrative and disciplinary responsibilitieswithout prejudice to any legal actions that may arise.
