The institution, known for its security and order work, extended its helping hand to Román Jiménez, a father who heads a household, who dreamed of offering decent housing for his two children. This is the story shared by the Police.
Román had fought for years to guarantee the well-being of his children, David, 8, and Emanuel, 5, while they lived in precarious conditions with the children’s grandmother. The family lived in a deteriorated home, without access to basic amenities, which made life even more difficult for this man who, as a father, sought to provide them with a better future.
The solidarity of a teacher and the support of the Police made the dream of a decent home come true
Thanks to the intervention of a teacher from the Muzo primary school where one of Román’s sons studies, who decided to help the family, resources began to be collected to materialize Román’s dream: a decent home. However, what seemed like a distant dream for the family became a reality thanks to the support of the National Police.
The collaboration of members of the Police, along with the local community, was key to carrying out the project. The uniformed men not only provided help in logistics and resources, but also in the human aspect, demonstrating that, beyond their role as public servants, they are committed to the well-being of Colombians in all aspects of life.
