Podemos will propose to Maduro a second trust fund for humanitarian aid money

Jesús Santander, deputy of the 2020 National Assembly and member of the Podemos party, said this Tuesday, December 20, that the political organization led by Didalco Bolívar will propose to President Nicolás Maduro the creation of a second trust to protect the more than 3,000 million dollars for humanitarian aid and prevent it from being devalued.

Santander explained in VTV that the idea is that this money, which was the product of the agreements signed between the ruling party and the opposition in Mexico, reaches the trust so that national and international companies, which win the corresponding tenders, have these funds available and there is also a possibility for them to recover what is invested.

The social agreement that the delegations participating in the negotiating table in Mexico, according to the November 28 The head of the opposition group, Gerardo Blyde, stated that, although the UN will administer the 3,000 million dollars from Venezuela’s frozen funds abroad through a first trust, the agencies of that multilateral organization must bid and present all the collections, so that transparency in the process can be guaranteed and possible audits if necessary.

Subsequently, the first vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), God given hairrecalled that it is the Venezuelan State that will determine in which projects these resources will be invested.

The deputy Jesús Santander, on another issue, stressed that the political organization to which he belongs became a party to “accompany” the PSUV and the projects promulgated by Nicolás Maduro, which in his opinion is beyond an electoral alliance because they are involved in all the activities promoted by the red awning and for this reason, they focused their activities on the communities to find out their needs and raise them to the Executive at all levels.

In parliamentary matters, Santander said that one of the articles on which the most work has been done in the Education, Health, Science and Technology Commission – to which it belongs – was the reform of the Organic Law on Science and Technology, because room has been given to the “inventiveness and creativity of the people.”

In this sense, he stressed that citizens and small businesses have been given the possibility of receiving financing for their projects, which was previously received by the autonomous universities for this type of initiative.
