A Police Intelligence report warns of the deployment of a criminal organization linked to the government of peter castle which intends to attack the Nation’s prosecutor, Patricia Benavides, who is investigating the president for corruption crimes.
Agent note 09-2022 was issued on October 24 and sent to prosecutor Kelinda Janampa, a member of the special team led by senior prosecutor Marita Barreto.
The document, which was accessed Peru21indicates that the criminal network is “linked to and financed by the current government” and has as its main leader a character known as ‘El Español’ or “Jorge Fernández” who would be a foreign citizen.

“Obeying orders from its leaders and in accordance with the development of the criminal program of the criminal organization to which it belongs, it has currently considered as one of its main objectives to attack the Nation’s prosecutor, Liz Patricia Benavides Vargas, and her family. direct,” it reads.
It is added that in order to carry out this task, the government is recruiting “graduates and reservists of the Armed Forces, active militants who call themselves ethnocacerists.”
This newspaper already warned at the beginning of October that ‘El Español’ recruited assassins to eliminate Colonel PNP Harvey Colchado, the leader of the special Police team that supports the investigations of prosecutor Barreto.
The intelligence note includes the statement of an informant identified as “Juana”, who on October 10 approached the Police to report the plan that this network of assassins intends to deploy.

“I have requested the interview because I have information regarding the person known as ‘El Español’ whose name would be Jorge and who has people from the current government as his partners, who have in mind to assassinate the prosecutor of the Nation Patricia Benavides and (Harvey) Colchado, they have that as a priority and in between they have many strong interests, that is why they are willing to pay large sums of money to hired assassins, preferably foreigners, so that they can later be taken out of the country,” he said.
