This morning, agents of the National Police intervened the premises of the left-wing organizations Nuevo Perú and Confederation Campesina. In them they found abundant handmade weapons used by violent characters in the marches made in the city of Lima.
This operation was carried out within the framework of the state of national emergency in force by supreme decree.
The Police informed via social networks about the findings made. The Public Ministry indicated that a representative of the Prosecutor’s Office also participated in the proceedings to ensure the legality of the operation.

After the operation, Oscar Arriola, head of the Directorate against Terrorism (Dircote), said that 26 people were involved. Two of them were arrested because they would be involved in the andahuaylazo, Antauro Humala riot where four policemen were assassinated in 2005.
“Due to the exceptional state of emergency in which we find ourselves, we have intervened this premises, previously with information from our intelligence activities, we have carried out these actions. As a result, we found two people who have participated in the Andahuaylazo and one of them was investigated for terrorism in 1996″, said General Arriola.
