A total of 16 kilos of marijuana were located by agents of the Bolivarian National Police (PNB) on the Táchira-Colombia border.
According to reports, the police commission was patrolling a trail (illegal road) known as La Platanera, located on the outskirts of San Antonio del Táchira.
Three men were walking along the aforementioned dirt road carrying five tubes of plastic. The subjects observed the group of officials, threw the pipes and fled towards Colombia. The agents checked the tubes, inside which they located 30 panels of marijuana that totaled 16 kilos, the report says.
In another procedure, officials of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) detained Daisa Marisol Serrano, from whom they seized 6 containers containing hair creams impregnated with cocaine, which yielded a gross weight of 1 kilo 937 grams.
Serrano was traveling in a public transport vehicle from Catia, Caracas, bound for the town of Caucagua (Miranda). Said vehicle was checked at the Citizen Service Point located in the El Quemaíto sector, Guatire (Miranda), according to a report from Detachment 443 of the GNB.
And at the Tucaní tollbooth (Mérida), the military seized 2 packages of marijuana, weighing 1 kilo 45 grams, which Angélica María Palencia Noreña, who was a passenger on public transportation from the town of Santa Bárbara, was carrying in a bag. (Zulia), bound for Caja Seca, in the same western entity, according to a report from Detachment 222 of the GNB.
The detainees were handed over to the Public Ministry.
