In addition, he added that the Department of Expertise is in charge of delivering public documents to citizens where their legality is established, “there are two formats, one that is the technical report that is carried out when the serials are altered as a result of some accident or accident and the other which is the actual technical verification”.
In this sense, S/J Arroyo clarified that “the Scientific, Penal and Criminalistics Investigation Corps (CICPC) also carries out iTechnical inspections, but for carrying out legal procedures before the Terrestrial Traffic Directorate, only the one issued by the aforementioned directorate is valid.
He stated that in recent years important changes have taken place in the country that have led to a process of decentralization of technical review and inspection activities and that it is no longer necessary to travel to the city of Caracas, which previously were the only centers that harassed citizens in this process.
In the national territory there are 125 Centers of Expertise deployed in the 23 states and the Capital District, with a technological system to strengthen these legal processes and update the national registry of the automotive fleet, attended by 798 officials who are experts in the area.
These officials specialize in the Manuelita Sáez Center for Specialized Studies on Matters Against the Crime of Theft and Vehicle Theft, located under the Veracruz Bridge in Chacao, inaugurated on August 14, 2021, with the aim of training officials of any state security agency in the area of vehicle serialization under the accreditation of the Experimental Security University (UNES).
