A total of 227 panels of drugs were seized by security agencies in border entities during the last hours, according to reports collected.
The charges yielded a total of 87 kilos 560 grams of drugs: 31,710 (cocaine) and 55,850 (marijuana).
In the state of Falcón, there were two procedures, one of them carried out at the Citizen Service Point located in El Limón, Colina municipality (La Vela de Coro).
In that checkpoint, the military detained a Chevrolet license plate IAA85W, which was secretly transporting 89 panels of marijuana, which had a total weight of 55 kilos and 800 grams, according to a report from the Rural Command Detachment 13-1 assigned to the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB). ).
After the discovery was made, the officials proceeded to arrest the two occupants of the vehicle who were registered as Daniel Alexander Olivia Correa and Daniel Jesús Avilés Correa.
These people came from Coro (Falcón) and were heading to Barquisimeto (Lara).
And in the areas surrounding the town of Tiguadare, Carirubana municipality, Punta Cardón parish, agents of the Bolivarian National Police (PNB) located 60 panels of marijuana that totaled 34 kilos. The wrappers were stuffed into two sacks.
Another PNB procedure was carried out in the Las Delicias sector, Biruaca municipality (Apure), where they found 22 panels of cocaine with a total weight of 22 kilos 500 grams.
And in San Antonio del Táchira there were 30 marijuana panels that PNB officials assigned to the Anti-Drug Division located. That shipment weighed 16 kilos.
Another border entity where PNB agents located drugs is Sucre. Specifically in the Sabacual sector, Benítez municipality (El Pilar), 24 panels of cocaine were found that yielded 24 kilos, according to a PNB report.
At the Citizen Service Point located in Punta de Piedra, Ezequiel Zamora municipality (Santa Bárbara), Barinas, the military seized two packages of cocaine that were transported on the tires of two motorcycles whose drivers were detained and identified as José Maximiliano Mendoza Márquez and Ender Enrique Rodríguez Prieto.
The drug weighed 9 kilos 186 grams and came from San Cristóbal (Táchira) bound for Barinas, according to a report from Detachment 332 of the GNB.

In another event, the Zulia Trial Court 4 issued a sentence against Mervis Enrique Medero Ferrer (56) consisting of 14 years in prison, after admitting his responsibility in trafficking a panel of cocaine, according to a statement from the Public Ministry. The drug was seized on November 27, 2023, at the Citizen Service Point located in the San Francisco municipality (Zulia).
At that site, GNB officials searched the Chevrolet vehicle where Medero Ferrer was traveling, in whose front bumper they located a panel of cocaine, the net weight of which was one kilogram. Given this situation, the man was detained and handed over to the Public Ministry where he was charged with aggravated illicit trafficking of narcotic and psychotropic drugs in the form of transportation; in addition to association. Once brought to the Zulia court, the accused took the floor to admit the facts, which is why they imposed the sentence that he will serve in the GNB-Zulia.
