PN without clues about missing couple

Six days after the disappearance of a married couple in the municipal district of La Guáyiga, in Santo Domingo Oeste, the Police He still has no clues to his whereabouts.

Desperation and consternation have seized that community since its residents learned of the disappearance of the young merchant Luis Miguel Jáquez Rodríguez, 32, and his wife, the teacher Elizabeth Almarante Pacheco, 24.

The disturbing uncertainty is that they do not know if they will appear dead or alive, and although the hope is for the first, based on other disappearances they are pessimistic.

The couple’s relatives are devastated, since they have not heard from them since Monday.

Elizabeth’s father, Nicolás Almarante Castaño, went yesterday along with other relatives to the La Guáyiga Prosecutor’s Office, in search of an answer that would lead to the clue of the young couple.

Community members have searched for them in a ravine near the house where they live on Calle Progreso in the aforementioned sector, whose house does not have a number.

The neighbors define them as two calm and hard-working people who do not know of any misconduct in either of them, since the man is a very reserved person and rarely talks, which is why his disappearance is surprising.
Jáquez Rodríguez has a sausage business in the sector and Almarante Pachecho is a teacher at a school.

“This community is saddened by this case, because as it happened to them, it can happen to anyone,” said Antonio Morillo, a community motoconchista.

Another who said he felt sorry and who asked God for them to appear alive was Iván Santos, a resident of the sector.

“Those people did not mess with anyone, they had been living here rented for two years. This is terrible because they were good people,” explained Maribel Valdez, who shares the first floor of the house where the couple lives. “She was a bit nice and he was a bit quiet. That is a very strange thing,” she noted.

His mother, Miguelina Rodríguez, reported that since Monday she has not known the whereabouts of her son and daughter-in-law and that on Tuesday her grandchildren, his sons, ages 6 and 3, were alone in the house and did not know where their father was. and his stepmother, for which a friend picked them up and later took them to his house, where they are currently.

This mother is devastated and bewildered waiting for a son who has not arrived home and is unaware of his whereabouts. She stated that since then they have repeatedly tried to contact them, but the calls they make to their cell phones are sent to voice mail.

He does not know for sure if it is a robbery perpetrated by someone who knew the spouses.
Two televisions, clothing, and other items are allegedly missing from the home, and there is no sign of forced entry.
He said that his son had no problems with anyone that he knew of.

Neighbors of the sector, who refused, pointed out that this case has the characteristics of a kidnapping or kidnapping, because neither of them appears.
