Mao, Valverde.- Members of the Northwest Regional Directorate of the National Police are investigating the causes of two fires that reduced three houses to ashes in the municipality of Villa Los Almácigos, province of Santiago Rodríguez. And a fourth, in the El Abanico neighborhood, in the border city of Dajabón.
Members of the Fire Brigade of said towns and neighbors extinguished both fires, and prevented the flames from spreading to nearby houses, reporting the destruction of all trousseaus, but not human losses.
The affected houses were built of wood and zinc roofs, where Dominican citizens resided.
