The National Police reported that he identified a man with apparent mental disorders whom he points out as the person who launched a stone of considerable size from the pedestrian avenue 27 with Máximo Gómez causing the death of the young Yoel Cabrera.
Although he did not offer the man’s information, the institution’s spokesman, Diego Pesqueira, said that through the analysis of the videos that are available of the event, the author could be established and an order is being processed to proceed with his arrest.
He revealed that it is not about any of the 10 people investigated for the event, nor about the man who has circulated in the networks as the person responsible for the incident. It is unknown so far if it is the same person who produced a similar attack last Sunday night to another driver on John F Kenedy Avenue.
“The National Police informs that in the next few hours it will give a forceful answer in relation to this case. We are waiting for the arrest warrant to be issued to locate, apprehend and bring to justice via the Public Ministry the alleged perpetrator of this act, for which all the evidence points to him as the person responsible”, said Pesqueira.
Yesterday, the relatives of Yoel Cabrera Espino called on the authorities to bring to justice the person responsible for throwing the stone.
The mother of the deceased, Claribel Espino, affirmed that life is not the same, since she received the news about the death of her son, whom they considered the right hand of their family.
Wake
The mortal remains of José Rafael Cabrera Espino are on display in the Los Trinitarios chapel of the Jardin Memorial Cemetery on Jacobo Majluta Avenue. The wake takes place in total privacy of the victim’s family.
For this Tuesday it is planned that the body of José Rafael will be exposed from 9:00 in the morning. A mass for his body will be held at 2:00 p.m. and his subsequent burial will be at 4:00 p.m.
