The National Police arrested two men after being identified in a surveillance video that went viral on social networks, in which they are observed committing a crime robbery in a lottery bank of the municipality Jarabacoaprovince La Vega.
According to a press release, the detainees were identified as Wilmi Alcántara Batista and Adrián Capellán Aquino, who allegedly entered a lottery bank through a window, located in the Palo Blanco sector, from where they stole an indeterminate sum of money in cash.
After the broadcast of the audiovisual, members of the Investigation Division (Dicrim) carried out an operation where both individuals were arrested in the La Chinola sectoron the Palo Blanco highway, in the aforementioned municipality.
They seized drugs
- The statement indicates that during the arrest, Alcántara Batista was occupied a portion of a vegetable, presumably dope, while Chaplain Aquino was unwary part of the money stolen during the robbery.
The detainees will be placed at the disposal of the Public Ministry for the corresponding legal purposes.
