Police agents in separate actions detained three men in Haina, two of whom allegedly seized 143 portions of drugs and a handcrafted weapon of the so-called “Chilean”.
In a press release the South Central Regional Directorate based in Baní identifies the detainees as Santiago Lorenzo Garabitos, 47 years old, Dailis Valdez Mateo and Lucianito Pérez, the latter two 22 years old each.
It indicates that after the agents searched Garabitos, they seized 143 portions of drugs, 136 of which correspond to a rocky material, 5 to a green vegetable and 2 to a white powder, presumably crack, marijuana and cocaine, as well as three pieces of pills, orange color, a scissor and cash.
While Valdez Mateo, who was arrested while walking down Los Rieles street in the Quita Sueño sector of Haina, was seized with a “Chilean”, a 12-gauge cartridge.
Meanwhile, Lucianito Pérez was arrested moments after, in the company of several unknown persons who were traveling in a gray car, having intercepted Mr. Augusto Morbàn Perdomo, who, after pointing a gun at him, was robbed of a motorcycle, RD$12 ,000.00 pesos in cash and a cell phone.
According to the institution of order, the three men are investigated in relation to the acts committed.
