Military Police teams seized nine rifles, two machine guns and a large amount of drugs in operations against organized crime in communities in Baixada Fluminense and Itaboraí, Rio de Janeiro. Since the beginning of the year, the PM has seized 408 rifles, considered weapons of war.
In Duque de Caxias, in the Community of Dique, PM teams seized six rifles during scanning and searching actions. The operation took place after an armed attack on a reserve military police officer, which took place on Thursday (31), who victimized the policeman’s sister and his niece, a 3-year-old child.
Also in Baixada, in the municipality of Japeri, armed criminals attacked police in the Jardim Delamare neighborhood. After the confrontation, two suspects were hit and rescued to the Japeri Polyclinic, but could not resist the injuries. In the action, a 9mm caliber pistol, a 38 -caliber revolver, a radiotransmitter, cocaine, marijuana, skank packs, marijuana bundles and crack stones were seized.
In Jardim América, north of Rio de Janeiro, teams from the Pottery Battalion seized a 5.56 caliber rifle and narcotics in the Furquim Mendes and Dike communities. Teams from the 41st BPM, from Irajá, seized a 5.56 caliber rifle in the Quarry Complex.
In the Complexo da Reta, in Itaboraí, teams from the Itaboraí Battalion and the Battalion of Dog Action Battalion (BAC) worked on the recovery of stolen vehicles and the repression of car thefts. In the action, the dogs of BAC, located a rifle, two machine guns and abundant amount of narcotic material.
