Rosa Lazala, Director of Plant Health, when heading a press conference, said that this disease maintains its quarantine plague status absent from the Dominican Republic, thanks to the phytosanitary surveillance and the climatic conditions of the country, which are not favorable.
He also called for potato producers to approach the authorities of this ministry to clarify doubts or suspicions in the phytosanitary order and not be carried out of false information that affects the image of agricultural production.
“We will continue with a sampling process throughout the Constanza Valley, to continue carrying out the corresponding studies, until there is scientific evidence,” said Engineer Lazala.
