The rule also contemplates the elimination of regional movements, a proposal that was not initially contained in the ruling and that would affect some 96 groups that are registered in the Registry of Political Organizations of the National Elections Jury (JNE).
In the plenary session of Congress, the discussion of another constitutional reform opinion that creates the National School of Judiciary and elevates the National Authority for Control of the Judiciary and the Public Ministry to a constitutional level is also planned. Likewise, the Interinstitutional Coordination Council of the Justice System is created.
This opinion has been questioned by the Academy of Judiciary which, through a statement, has indicated that its disappearance is not recommended, but rather its strengthening and the allocation of an autonomous budget that allows it to improve the functions that have been assigned to it. constitutionally mandated.
Interpellation to Arana
On the other hand, the president of Parliament, Eduardo Salhuanareported that tomorrow, Wednesday, starting at 3 p.m., the admission to debate of the motion to interpellate the Minister of Justice, Eduardo Arana, will be submitted to the Plenary for consultation.
The document, which is endorsed by legislators from different political parties, including Avanza País, Renovación Popular, Juntos por el Perú and Bancada Socialista, requires Arana to answer for “his inefficiency” and his “inability” to direct the sector.
