This Sunday, July 28 A new edition of the will be held Bogota Half Marathon (MMB) the most important race of its kind in the country.

Being an event that will take place in several areas of the city, the District Secretariat of Mobility (SDM) authorized the following road closures for the development of the competition:

– Race start area (western lane of Carrera 60 between Calle 63 and Calle 53), closures will begin at 12:00 p.m. on July 27, until 2:00 p.m. on July 28, 2024.

– Race arrival area (closure of the southbound lane of Calle 63 between Av. Carrera 68 and Av. Carrera 60), closures will begin at 12:00 p.m. on July 27, until 2:00 p.m. on July 28, 2024.

– Race arrival area (closure of the northbound lane, Calle 63 between Av. Carrera 68 and Av. Carrera 60), closures will begin at 9:00 pm on July 27, until 2:00 pm on July 28, 2024.

Likewise, the SDM assured that, in order to mitigate the impacts generated to the road network, the opening of the roads affected by the event is carried out gradually according to the progress of the participants.

Detours authorized in the Simon Bolivar Park sector

· Users traveling in a west-east direction and taking Av. Carrera 60 to the south, must continue along Av. Calle 68 to the east, Carrera 29B to the south, Calle 66 to the east and Av. Carrera 24 to the south.

· Users traveling along Av. Calle 53 in an east-west direction should take Av. Carrera 24 to the North and Av. Calle 68 to the west.

· Users traveling along Av. Carrera 68 in a north-south direction and wishing to take Av. Calle 63 to the east, must take Av. Calle 26 to the east.

· Users traveling along Av. Calle 63 in a west-east direction should take Av. Carrera 68 to the North and Av. Calle 68 to the East.

· Users traveling along Av. Calle 63 in an east-west direction should take Av. NQS to the north, Av. Calle 72 to the west and Av. Carrera 68 to the south.

Authorized detours in the quadrant of Av. Calle 53 and Av. Calle 26 between Av. Carrera 68 and Av. NQS

· Residents of the Salitre El Greco sector should take Calle 42 to the west, Carrera 67A to the north, Calle 44 to the west and Av. Carrera 68 to the north.

· Users traveling along Av. Calle 26 in an east-west direction and wishing to take Av. Carrera 60 to the North must take Av. Carrera 68 to the North.

· Residents of the La Esmeralda neighborhood will be able to take 44C Bis Street to the east, Carrera 50 Avenue to the south and 26th Street to the west.

· Residents of the Pablo VI neighborhood who wish to go east of the city must take transversal 59A to the North, Av. Calle 63 to the East or Calle 59 to the East and Av. Carrera 50 to the North and Av. Calle 63 to the East.

· Residents of the Nicolás de Federmán neighborhood should look for Av. NQS to the south or north and/or Av. Calle 26 or Av. Calle 68 to the east.

· Residents of the Rafael Núñez neighborhood should take Carrera 45 to the South and Av. Calle 26 to the West.

· Detours of the quadrant of Av. Calle 53 and Av. Calle 26 between Av. Carrera 68 and Av. NQS.

– Those attending the activity are advised to arrive at the venue, preferably by SITP or TransMilenio; it is suggested to avoid the use of private vehicles.

– It is recommended to plan routes and movements in the sectors affected by the development of the activity.

– It is recommended to follow the instructions of the traffic authorities, the organization’s staff and the SDM on the affected roads, in order to minimize the impact that the activity may have on the city.

– It is recommended to pay attention to the signage that the event organizers will provide to inform about road closures and detours to be implemented for the development of the activity.

– It is recommended to use non-motorized modes of transport such as bicycles and on foot, as well as mass transit and public transport.
