About the Christmas Bonus
Pujols reported that the PLD subscribes to what was expressed about the so-called Christmas bonus of the former vice president Margarita Cedeño and the last vice presidential candidate, Zoraima Cuello, who criticized that the government stopped using the poverty statistics of the Single System of Beneficiaries (Siuben) to deliver said bonus.
“We are deeply concerned about the disorder that has occurred in the delivery of the bonus, remembering previous scandals in the application of social programs,” he said.
He said that the PLD expresses solidarity with the Dominican men and women who have been neglected by the government’s indifference about the problems that affect them.
“It is scandalous that people who do not need these bonuses are on the list of those who can access said funds, in itself it is a dangerous symptom of the design of said program,” he concluded.
