example of multilateralism
For Foreign Minister Félix Plasencia, Venezuela and Bolivia continue to set an example to the world of being countries that respect multilateralism and international law.
During the meeting with his Bolivian counterpart, Plasencia confirmed “the commitment of Bolivia and Venezuela to continue giving a good example to the world as nations that respect multilateralism and international law, from forums such as @ALBATCP, @PPT_CELAC Y @unasur«.
Likewise, Foreign Minister Plasencia reiterated that the peoples of Venezuela and Bolivia have a “deep Bolivarian sentiment and a vocation for cooperation, solidarity and unity, as well as a firm commitment to peace and the preservation of our sovereignty, which was bequeathed to us by our Father , The Liberator Simón Bolívar».
Faced with the intention of excluding some countries from the Summit of the Americas by the United States, Plasencia thanked the position of the president of Bolivia, Luis Arce, who rejects this position and argues that it goes against diversity and constructive dialogue.
“We appreciated the statements of the Pdte. @LuchoXBoliviain its resounding rejection of the possibility of trying to unilaterally exclude some countries of our region from the upcoming Summit of the Americas, in clear rejection of diversity and constructive dialogue,” said the Venezuelan foreign minister.
The US Undersecretary of State, Brian Nichols, confirmed a few days ago that the United States will exclude Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua from the Summit of the Americas, despite calls on the continent to hold an inclusive event, reported Prensa Latina.
