An Aerolineas Argentinas plane had to make an emergency landing on Saturday after reporting a bomb threat turned out to be false, reported the Airport Security Police.
The 172 passengers and six crew members of the Boeing 737 that departed from Buenos Aires were disembarked without incident at the Comodoro Rivadavia airportabout 1,700 km south of the Argentine capital.
“The procedure began as a result of a call to 911 (Buenos Aires police) that warned of the presence of a bomb while the plane was in flight,” the official note said.

“The raking of the Explosives Brigade to the cabin, the luggage and the hold did not show any news.“, according to the police statement.
The plane was heading from Buenos Aires to the city of Ushuaia, 3,000 km south of Argentina.
The landing was arranged at 07:40 local time (10:40 GMT), at which time the air station was temporarily closed while the airport Contingency Plan was activated.
