The Public ministry from the province The Altagracia is preparing to request measures of coercion for drug trafficking against all persons linked to the airplane enrollment C-FWRR who arrived in Punta Cana on a direct flight from Toronto, Canada, and was about to return to that country with some 200 packages of cocaine.
According to information obtained by Diario Libre, the detainees are 12 people: four crew members, including the pilot and co-pilot; two technicians; and seven passengers.
There are no Dominicans arrested in the transaction, 11 of them are Canadians, including one identified as Russian-Canadian, and one Indian. This, according to a source of full credit, who also reported that all those involved are foreigners so far, but the investigative process is still open.
It should be noted that the Public ministrywill deposit today the request for measures to the 12 involved in said process.
It is recalled that the anti-narcotics agents, accompanied by prosecutors from this demarcation, attending to intelligence reports, proceeded to carry out an inspection of the airplane enrollment C-FWRRwhich would depart on a private flight from the Punta Cana terminal to Toronto, Canada.
Then, and as part of the process, the authorities began a more rigorous check, finding eight black packages in the control compartments of the aircraft, each containing 25 packages, for a total of 200.
The crew, passengers and other investigated, as well as the aircraft, Mitsubishi CRJ-100ER, are under the control of the Public ministry while the investigations continue to determine if there are other possible implicated.
The 200 packages used in this interdiction operation are being sent under chain of custody to the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (INACIF) to determine the exact type and weight of the substance.
