MIAMI, United States. — A small plane from Cuba crashed this afternoon in the Everglades National Park (Florida) with two people on board, reported the chain WPLG.
Tammy L. Jones, a spokeswoman for the Federal Aviation Administration of the United States, declared to that medium that the two people who were in the aircraft survived the accident, which occurred shortly after 1 in the afternoon.
The report indicates that it was a Soviet-made Antonov An-2 light aircraft, the same model as the one used by the pilot. Ruben Martinez Machado to escape the Island on October 21.
Like Martínez Machado’s Antonov An-2, the plane that crashed today in Florida also had the sign of the Cuban Air Services Company (ENSA).
