Plan "We are going to the street" is deployed in communities nationwide

This Tuesday, the deputy of the National Assembly (AN), Gabriela Peña, president of the People’s Power Subcommittee of the AN, was as a guest on the program “Punto de Encuentro”, broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión (VTV). Peña announced: “the Plan Nos voy pa’la calle begins, which is inspired by ending poverty by giving power to the poor, as instructed by our Eternal Commander Hugo Chávez Frías.”

It should be noted that the parliamentarian stressed the importance of empowering the people, to achieve their political, economic and social objectives, as supported by the statutes of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV).

“The Commission of People’s Power and Communication of the AN, has as its premise to govern, obeying the people, promoting citizen participation in matters of its competence,” said the deputy.

These promotion and social development actions are endorsed by article 187 of the National Constitution, which promotes citizen participation in all matters concerning their social environment.

“The Plan We are going to the street, is nothing more than an instrument to promote permanent links and exchange of knowledge, to continue, legislating, training and promoting the strengthening of Popular Power,” said Peña.

It is essential to explain that this plan consists of three moments, three elementary processes: The first is to incorporate the people who legislate, in this case, the communal parliamentarians, as an instance that creates the legislation and makes contributions to the National Assembly.

Secondly, it is the gestation of the permanent link where the people have the possibility of submitting their proposals for the strengthening of the laws of People’s Power, for example, for the discussion and studies of the laws of communal power.

And finally, it is the issue of the empowerment of the people in legislative matters, which has to do with instruction in legislative techniques to properly manage and increase the capacities of the people in this form of revolutionary politics promoted by the Bolivarian National Government and thus advance with solidity and security in the exercise of self-government.
