PL, PT and PSDB have bigger stands at Alesp

The voters of the state of São Paulo elected yesterday (2) the parliamentarians who will occupy the 94 seats of the Legislative Assembly of São Paulo (Alesp) in the next legislature. Starting next year, the Liberal Party (PL) will have the largest bench in Alesp. The Workers’ Party (PT), in which the candidate for the government of São Paulo Fernando Haddad is a member, will occupy the second largest bench in Alesp, rising from the current ten deputies to 18. Among those elected is Eduardo Suplicy who, with 807,015 votes, was the most voted state deputy in São Paulo this year.

The PT adhered to the federation model with PV and PCdoB and will add 19 seats. In addition to the PT names, Leci Brandão (PCdo B) was also elected

The PSDB, a traditional party in the state and which had been successively electing the governor of São Paulo for almost three decades, lost four seats, but elected nine deputies and will be the third largest bench in the House. The PSDB joined the federation with Cidadania, which elected two more deputies.

The Republican Party, run by the presidential candidate Tarcísio de Freitas, kept its eight seats in the São Paulo Assembly. União Brasil also maintained the number of eight elected state deputies.

The PSOL, in turn, went from three to five occupants in Alesp. PSOL also joined the federation with the Sustainability Network, which re-elected Marina Helou.

Pode, MDB and PSD managed to elect four deputies each. Progressistas and PSB each made three state deputies.

In addition to them, the Christian Social Party elected two deputies. The candidates elected by the acronyms PDT, Novo and Solidariedade, with one elected each, close the seats of Alesp.

The most voted

Suplicy (807,015 votes) was the state deputy who received the most votes in São Paulo, followed by Carlos Giannazi (PSOL), with 276,811 votes; Paula da Bancada Feminista (PSOL), with 259,711 votes; Bruno Zambelli (PL), with 235,305 votes; and Major Mecca (PL), with 224,462 votes.

On October 30th, candidates Tarcísio de Freitas and Fernando Haddad will decide, in the second round, who will be the future governor of São Paulo.
