The Liberal Party (PL) filed seven representations in the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) against the Workers’ Party (PT) and the presidential candidate Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. The PL is the party of reelection candidate Jair Bolsonaro.
In the representations filed yesterday (4), the legend alleges that Lula would have made irregular positive and negative electoral propaganda to the detriment of Bolsonaro in seven events recently held in Brasília and in cities in the Northeast.
The PL also cites the practice of “hate speech” after Bolsonaro was called “genocidal and a liar” in one of the speeches.
The party’s lawyers asked the TSE to remove the videos with the internet speeches and the imposition of a fine.
There is no deadline for a preliminary ruling on the case.
