He Judiciary will announce this Thursday, November 27 at 09:00 am the sentence against the former president Pedro Castilloin the trial for the attempted coup d’état of December 7, 2022.
In this process, the Prosecutor’s Office requests a sentence of 34 years in prison for the crimes of rebellion and abuse of authority.
“After declaring the debate closed last Friday, November 21, the Special Criminal Chamber of the Supreme Court will continue this Thursday, the 27th of the present, at 9:00 a.m., the oral trial hearing against former President Pedro Castillo and others, where it will issue the corresponding pronouncement of law,” reads the statement from the Judiciary.
During the trial, Castillo has disputed the charges against him and has stated that he never committed a hit.
