The opposition organization emphasized that its proposal is to give priority to pending issues.
“Starting by complying with the Transition Statute and the June 14 agreement that details the management mechanisms of companies such as Monomeros, Citgo and the Simón Bolívar Foundation,” said Primero Justicia.
The yellow awning highlighted that it should be designated an international consulting firm that uses depoliticized selection mechanisms to achieve transparent accountability.
PJ has been critical of the handling of the country’s assets by the interim government. In that sense, the organization recalled, this Sunday, that there is still no clarity on several aspects.
On his Twitter account, Primero Justicia refers to an article, written by the leader Rafael Guzmán, in November 2021, in which the management of the lawyer is questioned Jose Ignacio Hernandez who was Special Prosecutor of the interim.
Guzmán stressed that the Special Prosecutor’s office did not make public the strategy for the defense and preservation of assets at the time. “We did not know in 2019, nor do we know today for sure, the answer to many questions, such as: what were the assets whose control was ceded in 2019? How many trials and arbitration proceedings were there in 2019? What state were they in or what chances did the Republic have of winning? What agreements existed with creditors? Which ones were respected and which ones were ignored and why? Which law firms handled those cases?
In October of last year, PJ demanded to “take the policy out” of the company monomers Venezuelan-Colombian, based in Colombia.
