The First Justice Party denounced the holding of a telematic hearing without the right to defense for eight political prisoners, which it described as a “new arbitrariness” of the Maduro administration.
In a post on his X account, the aurinegra awning reported that the virtual hearing took place this Tuesday, November 4.
The political prisoners who had the telematic hearing were Roland Carreño, Freddy Superlano, Perkins Rocha, Nélida Sánchez, Biagio Pilieri, Ricardo Estévez, Davis Correa and Dorenski Rojas, Pilieri’s driver.
The party condemned the actions of the courts and accused them of acting “as instruments of political persecution” by carrying out processes without guarantees of any kind “in clear violation of human rights and justice.”
In the case of Superlano and Carreño, the Voluntad Popular party and their relatives have demanded proof of life, given that after receiving information about their transfer from El Helicoide -on September 5- no authority has told them where they are.
On October 8, after more than a year of isolation, María Costanza Cipriani, wife of lawyer Perkins Rocha, legal advisor of Vente Venezuela, confirmed that she was able to see him.

Biagio Pilieri, also arrested in August 2024, is in isolation. The Convergencia party – in which he is a member – and other organizations have demanded that their human rights and due process be respected.
At the beginning of September, the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) granted precautionary measures to Pilieri, who, in addition to being a politician, is a journalist.
