Two teachers lost their lives in a tragic triple shock recorded on the Sechura -Piura highway, at the height of the district of La Arena, in the Piura region.

The fateful event occurred on Friday night, August 15, at the Caserío Alto de los More, when the victims identified as Fernando Elías Moscol and Luz Fabiola Benítez Antón, traveled in the A4I-556 plate vehicle of Sechura to the city of Catacaos.
Upon reaching this area and due to circumstances that the police authorities investigate, a collision with the CMH-339 registration car was recorded. Then, the same vehicle crashed into the P3R-257 plate car.
The violent accident caused the two teachers to carry the worst part and die unfortunately, having to be taken between the iron of the vehicle.
Also, other occupants who went in cars, were also injured and had to be transferred to the health centers of the jurisdiction and others to nosocomios in the city of Piura.
It was known that the victims worked in the province of Sechura. The teacher Fernando Elías worked at the 14078 Educational Institution, former 240, located in the Florida settlement. While Luz Benites at College 14079 Divine Master of the Vicente Chunga Aldana settlement.
The unfortunate accident has shocked the educational community of said jurisdiction, because both were known for their work. The victims resided in the Pueblo Nuevo sector of the Catacaos district.
Meanwhile, the police authorities, together with the representative of the Public Ministry, carried out the Police Technical Inspection in the place where the accident happened and observed the violent clash of the vehicles and how they turned out. After that, they will determine the circumstances and responsibilities after the strong shock.
The death of both teachers generated a deep pain in their colleagues, students, neighbors and friends. They expressed messages of solidarity to their loved ones.
While different educational institutions of Sechura, Catacaos and other cities, expressed their regret and highlighted the work of Fernando Elías and Luz Benites in the formation of minors, as well as their commitment and vocation for service.
“It is unfortunate what happened to the teachers. Great professionals and with a lot of vocation of service,” said one of the acquaintances of the victims.
