Two members of a gang allegedly dedicated to illicit drug trafficking, including a young active police officer, were captured during an operation, in possession of two kilos of drugs, in the district of Veintiséis de Octubre, in the region Piura.

This is the second non-commissioned officer of the National Police of Peru (PNP), Eduardo S. Ch. (34 years old), who works at the Huarmaca district police station, in the Piura mountains, who was intervened at 11:10 in the morning of last Friday, at the intersection of Turkey Street and Circunvalación Avenue, in the Veintisis de Octubre district.
The second non-commissioned officer was in the company of Luis Guillermo LR (29 years old), aboard the car with license plate P3L 335, metallic gray, who upon seeing the police tried to flee and threw a bag containing a package of drugs.
When carrying out a thorough search of the rectangular-shaped package thrown by those intervened, the troops of the Anti-Drug area of the Criminal Investigation Division (Divincri) were greatly surprised when they found inside two kilos, apparently, of basic pasta. cocaine (PBC).
In addition, the guards seized a satellite intercom radio, an iPhone cell phone, a Samsung cell phone, a car and a thousand soles.
Both people were detained as alleged perpetrators of the crime of illicit drug trafficking, and were immediately transferred to the Divincri Anti-Drug area.
Prosecutor José Luis Montero Zapata, from the provincial prosecutor’s office specialized in illicit drug trafficking in Piura, began proceedings to determine the criminal responsibility of those involved.
