Two bullets ended the life of a humble mechanic, after a group of criminals arrived and shot at a bar in the Los Titanes urbanizationin Piura. Three other people, including a teacher who is the son of an active police officer, were seriously injured by gunshots.
The bloody event occurred at 10 pm outside the Son de Barrio bar, located on San Martín Avenue, in front of the José Inclán educational institution in the Los Titanes de Piura urbanization.
According to the first police investigations, a group of criminals arrived aboard a car and a Pulsar model motorcycle and after getting out they shot at the bar, apparently because minutes before they were denied entry.
As a result of the infernal shooting, the young mechanic and electrician, Omar Jesús Guzmán Mejía (39 years old), who was casually walking outside the bar to go buy food, died as a result of two bullets that hit him in the head.
Although the young man was rushed to the Santa Rosa de Piura hospital, unfortunately a bullet pierced his aorta vein and caused hypovolemic shock that led to his death.

Luis Alberto García Velaochaga (50 years old), who would be a relative of one of the owners of the bar, and teacher Kesley Alexi Tineo Checa (26 years old), the latter son of an active police officer, were also seriously wounded by gunfire.
It was learned that both are in the Santa Rosa hospital fighting for their lives.
Tineo is in the Intensive Care Unit, since one of the bullets pierced his vital organs.
Nancy Salgado Aranda (47 years old), who arrived at the bar when the shooting took place, was also shot.
She was emergency evacuated to the José Cayetano Heredia Regional Hospital in the district of Castilla.
The family of the mechanic and also an electrician, said that he was going to buy food to take to his mother’s home, in the Granja de Colores settlement.
The young man worked at his uncle’s mechanics, which is located a few meters from the bar and was well known, especially among police officers, as he fixed and inspected their vehicles.
Personnel from the Homicide section and the Criminalistics Office arrived at the scene to begin investigations into this crime.
