“In specific sections, optimized slabs will be used and in other places slurry will be placed. It is important to clarify that these actions are not part of a project but of a service, since we cannot assist in this area because it is included in the water and sewage project of the 107 human settlements,” he said.
The official indicated that cutting, removal, shaping and compaction of the subgrade have been carried out. Subsequently, granular placement and compaction have been carried out to finish with pouring.
The resurfacing with Slurry Seal of 1,570.61 m2 has also been considered on the existing pavement that presents superficial asphalt detachment, on Av. Las Palmeras (20.05 m2), Av. Las Casuarinas (214.25 m2) and Av. Las Gardenias (1,336.31 m2).
As for curbs, the project includes the construction of 382 m of submerged curb on Av. Las Palmeras (56.80 m2) and Manzanos Street (325.92), and 25.00 m of raised curb on Av. Las Palmeras.
For their part, councilors Linda Valdiviezo Domínguez and Yuvitza Reyes Mendoza highlighted the considerable progress of these activities, whose investment is S/1,500,000. The execution period is 45 calendar days. “We have a working mayor, who manages resources and works to improve the destroyed streets, a legacy left to us by previous administrations,” they said. Neighbors like Beltrán Córdova López said that the streets became impassable as a result of the recent rains. Even children and older adults acquired diseases due to the dust and potholes were a problem for vehicles.
