Teachers and parents reported that thirty high school students from the Juan Pablo II school in the province of Paitawere scammed and have not been able to go to the city of Tarapoto on a promotional trip. They blamed a man to whom they paid S/13,300.

These are fifth grade students from sections B and F who had raised funds and had planned to travel to that city on November 27, but so far they have not been able to make it happen.
The complaint was made known by teacher Élida Alvarado Jiménez, fifth B tutor, who accused a representative of a company with which they made a contract.
“(…) This year I make the contract with the man, in (the month) of July. We agreed to make the payments in installments because the students were managing their financial collection. We have had constant communication and he had to present us the documents from the transport company,” said the teacher.
But he added that, three days ago, they had to arrive to pick up the 30 students and take the long-awaited promotion trip. “On November 27, he had to pick up the students from school and he did not show up. Given this absenteeism of the man, we have filed a complaint with the Police and we are asking the parents for support, since it is harming us,” said teacher Élida Alvarado, who pointed out that the remainder (50%) was going to be paid to them when they traveled.
Given this, they ask for the money back. “He (who was deposited the money) no longer communicates with us. He has blocked those responsible for the contract. He even (blocked us) on Facebook,” said the teacher who, along with mothers, protested in front of the school about what happened.
In this regard, the company that was identified as responsible for this fact, indicated that they decided to terminate the contract due to non-payment.
“The termination of the contract has occurred due to non-compliance with payment obligations by the contracting parties,” they stated in a document posted on social networks. “What the gentleman alleges is that we have failed to comply. We have presented evidence of the deposits and conversations,” said the professor.
