For the third time in five races, the highest place on the podium in the 2025 season of Formula 1 was his, Oscar Pistri. This Sunday (20), McLaren’s Australian driver was winner of the Saudi Arabia GP in Jewish and, by breaking, recovered the lead in the pilot table.
Dutchman Max Verstappen of Red Bull, who started at the tip, ended second, while Ferrari’s Monegasco Charles Leclerc completed the podium.
Verstappen lost its first position after punishing a maneuver, having to add 5 seconds to its stops at the pits. For a moment, the Briton Lando Norris of McLaren, who arrived as leader this weekend and started the race in 10th position, occupied the tip, but after all the pilots made his pit stopsthe first place went to Pastri, who had dropped second.
The race continued to the end and Pistri crossed the 2s8 finish line before Verstappen. Lando Norris ended in fourth. Brazilian Sauber Brazilian Gabriel Bortoleto, who started 20th and last, ended 18, ahead of Red Bull and Pierre Gasly Yuki Tsunoda, who did not complete the race.
Now, in the pilot classification table, Pistri – who had already won the GPS from China and Bahrain – adds 99 points, 10 ahead of Norris and 12 ahead of Verstappen.
The next race on the Formula 1 calendar is the Miami GP in the United States, scheduled for May 4th.
