The quality and excellence of Peruvian piscos, wines and other distillates were recognized in two important international competitions held by the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles (CMB) organization during 2024: the Spirits Selection by CMB and the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles (Red Wines Session). and Whites).
In a ceremony held in Lima, 24 labels, belonging to 14 Peruvian production companies, received the medals that distinguish them among the best distillates and wines in the world. The event had the support of PROMPERÚ and was headed by Baudouin Havaux, president of the WBC.
The Peruvian products were declared winners in two contests after the jury evaluated the quality of aromas, intensity, typicity, flavors, balance, persistence, visual appearance, among other characteristics. Below are the winners:
Spirits Selection by CMB
The Spirits Selection by CMB competition was held in Guizhou, China, and 2,800 spirits and spirits from around the world participated. The jury, made up of 140 experts, decided to award 16 piscos. Likewise, 1 whiskey, 1 rum, 1 gin and 1 cocoa distillate produced in Peru were distinguished.

Brussels (Red and White Wines Session)
The Brussels World Competition (Red and White Wines Session) awards the high quality of wines produced around the world. The 2024 edition took place in Guanajuato, Mexico, and 7,500 wines participated. The jury, made up of 350 people, decided to distinguish the following Peruvian labels:

- Vittoria Reserva (Cabernet Sauvignon 2019) – Bodegas y Viñedos Tabernero

It should be noted that four of the companies whose products were awarded participated in export promotion actions (business conferences and presence at fairs) carried out by Promperú in the last year. These are Distillery La Caravedo, Bodegas y Viñedos Tabernero, Santiago Queirolo and Agroindustrias Tres Generaciones.
The CMB was created 31 years ago and has become a global reference for quality. The organization has a portfolio of competitions around the world that aim to highlight the high quality of wines, distillates and liquors from the five continents.
The WBC contests are traveling. The first editions were held in Brussels, Belgium, but later they began to be held in cities in different countries, normally linked to wine or distillate production.
