These evaluations are carried out every three years, created by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and seek to assess the Competencies acquired by the students of 15 years in areas such as Lecto -Writing, Mathematics and Nature Sciences, the Vice Minister of Technical and Pedagogical Affairs of the Ministry of Education (MINERD), Ancell Schecker.
Also, in this edition the skills of the students To speak and understand, orally and written, the English languageas well as its ability to solve problems through digital means.
The assessment It will be applied in a sample of 275 public and private sector educational centers, chosen at random. The selected centers are maintained in Confidentiality to avoid the dissemination of the contents of the tests.
Parents will participate
During the process, a survey to the parents of the students, teachers and directors, with the aim of understanding the context of the evaluated and how this influences the development of its skills.
In the country, the application of the tests will be executed by the Dominican Institute of evaluation and research of educational quality (IDEICE).
