The municipality of Pinhalzinho, in the interior of São Paulo, will have a supplementary municipal election on October 30, the same date as the second round of the general elections. The election takes place after the candidacy of Tião Zanadi, who won the elections for mayor, was rejected by the São Paulo Electoral Court due to ineligibility resulting from the Clean Record Law (LC 64/90)by virtue of conviction for a crime against the public administration.
According to Resolution TRE-SP 594/22, approved on July 28, female voters in good standing and with electoral domicile in the municipality are eligible to vote until May 4, 2022.
Candidates for mayor, in addition to the electoral domicile, must have party affiliation up to 6 months before the election. The deadline for submitting the application for registration of candidacy ends on September 27th and electoral propaganda is allowed from October 3rd.
