The governor of the state of Apure, Eduardo Piñate, denied false accusations against the “La Apureña” plant regarding the handling of grain and cereals.
In a press conference, the regional president denied the figures issued by the journalist Sebastiana Barraez on his social networks, in which he assures that the bean price and reserve price for sale is 0.083 petros, which is equivalent to 4.98 dollars. .
«The gazette establishes that the price is 0.0083 petros, that is equivalent to 0.50 cents, it eliminated a zero (…) look at the difference, I have the decree signed by myself and by the Executive Secretary of the state, Vanessa Cella,” he clarified.
In the same way, he denied that the executive forces producers to leave 20% of their production to the Plant, apart from the 5% of the social contribution or reserve, information that was certified by the president of the La Apureña Cereals and Legumes Plant. and Ángel Rivero, secretary of food in the state of Apure.
“This is actually part of an agreement with 6 companies: Minimarket Cerabian CA, Agrollanos Villasana, Agroyoyo CA, Orta Comercializadora CA, Unidad de Producción La Morochera and Agrosa CA, it was with them that we established an agreement. It is not true that we establish an obligation for all companies,” said Piñate.
The governor indicated the need to establish a price to protect the producer and consumers from intermediaries to, in this way, put an end to the resale of products.
He assured that the regional executive works to ensure timely access to the population of the different items produced in the state of Apura, in order to avoid illegal charges by intermediaries.
He highlighted the positive alliance between producers and private companies with the Bolivarian Government.

The “La Apureña” cereal and legumes plant, inaugurated less than ten days ago, has a production capacity of 21,000 kilos per day and a storage capacity of 400 tons, which represents a significant advance in the food revolution in the entity.
