A 55-year-old pilot had to make an emergency landing on a rural property in the town of Soca (Canelones) after the plane he was flying in suffered a malfunction.
According to the Canelones Police Headquarters, the man was piloting the plane over the property when, at a certain moment, one of the aircraft’s wings touched the ground and was left without command.
Given this incident, the man forced a landing on the property, at kilometer 59 of Route 10. The Canarian Police reported that the pilot was unharmed.
The National Directorate of Air Accidents, attached to the Ministry of National Defense, intervened at the site of the events. This agency is behind the investigations into the incident.
